Workshop Overview

This training provides behavioral health professionals with a comprehensive understanding of self-care, professional wellness, and sustainable clinical practice, in addition to addressing early identification of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma. Trainees will learn the definition of self-care and explore its essential role in maintaining ethical, effective counseling. The training highlights how intentional wellness practices strengthen therapeutic presence, reduce risk of ethical errors, and support long-term career satisfaction. Trainees will also learn about a few wellness models and assessment tools to use to assess their self-care practices and create their own self-care plan.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to: 

  1. Define self-care and explain its relevance to counseling practice.

  2. Identify signs of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.

  3. Assess personal wellness and stress management practices.

  4. Analyze the eight dimensions of wellness

  5. Develop a personalized self-care plan using practical strategies.

Refund Policy

  • Full Refund Minus 20% Service Fee: Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the course start date are eligible for a refund of fees less a 20% service charge.

  • 50% Refund: Cancellations received between 13 and 5 calendar days before the course start date will be refunded 50% of the course fee.

  • No Refund: Cancellations received within 4 calendar days or less of the course start date will be non-refundable.

Substitutions

  • Name changes or participant substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the course start date at no additional charge.

Course Cancellation by The Community Reach, LLC

  • The Community Reach, LLC reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.

  • Participants will be notified of cancellations no later than 7 business days prior to the scheduled course start date.

  • In the event of a cancellation, any prepaid registration fees will be fully refunded.
