Workshop Overview
This training course prepares Licensed Professional Counselors to step confidently into the role of clinical supervisor by building a strong foundation in Missouri’s supervision rules, statutes, and regulatory expectations. Participants will review essential ethical and legal principles—including documentation standards, informed consent, confidentiality, and telehealth requirements—to ensure safe and compliant supervisory practice. This training is a prerequisite for the "Becoming An LPC Distant/Telehealth Clinical Supervisor (Missouri)" training.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Understand Missouri LPC supervision rules, statutes, and regulatory expectations.
Demonstrate knowledge of ethical and legal foundations, including documentation, informed consent, and confidentiality.
Apply clinical supervision models and methods to support counselor development.
Demonstrate multicultural competence and awareness in supervision.
Utilize effective case documentation, treatment planning, and billing-compliant notes.
Identify supervisor responsibilities, liability, and risk management.
Provide structured evaluation, feedback, remediation, and gatekeeping for supervisees.
Understand telehealth and its requirements.
