Workshop Overview
This course prepares Licensed Professional Counselors to provide competent, ethical, and legally compliant telehealth/distant clinical supervision in Missouri. Participants will learn about state supervision requirements, understand telehealth-specific regulations, apply evidence-based supervision models, and demonstrate cultural awareness in remote supervisory relationships. The session emphasizes documentation, risk management, communication expectations, supervisee evaluation, and the unique ethical considerations that arise when supervision occurs through digital platforms. By the end of the training, supervisors will be equipped to deliver effective and compliant clinical supervision in virtual settings. The prerequisite for this traditional clinical supervision training , so you must already have your LPC-S to take this course.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Understand Missouri LPC supervision rules and requirements for telehealth supervision.
Demonstrate ethical and legal knowledge including documentation, informed consent, and confidentiality.
Apply supervision models to support supervisee development.
Demonstrate multicultural awareness in supervision practices.
Utilize accurate case documentation, treatment planning, and billing-compliant notes.
Identify supervisor responsibilities, liability issues, and risk management strategies.
Understand and apply telehealth-specific requirements for supervision.
