Workshop Overview
This training introduces mental health professionals to the therapeutic potential of commercial board games in play therapy. Participants will explore how board games can foster self-expression, emotional regulation, social skills, and relationship building. The workshop combines didactic teaching, demonstrations, and hands-on practice to show how board games can be used both as assessment tools and therapeutic interventions. Attendees will leave with practical strategies, adaptable frameworks, and resources to incorporate board games into their play therapy sessions.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Explain how the therapeutic powers of play are activated through board game play.
Use board games as an assessment tool to gather clinical information that informs treatment planning.
Apply board games as therapeutic interventions by selecting and adapting commercial games to align with specific treatment goals.

Refund Policy
Full Refund Minus 20% Service Fee: Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the course start date are eligible for a refund of fees less a 20% service charge.
50% Refund: Cancellations received between 13 and 5 calendar days before the course start date will be refunded 50% of the course fee.
No Refund: Cancellations received within 4 calendar days or less of the course start date will be non-refundable.
Substitutions
Name changes or participant substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the course start date at no additional charge.
Course Cancellation by The Community Reach, LLC
The Community Reach, LLC reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.
Participants will be notified of cancellations no later than 7 business days prior to the scheduled course start date.
In the event of a cancellation, any prepaid registration fees will be fully refunded.
