Workshop Overview
In this training, participants will learn how to use books and storytelling as therapeutic tools to support emotional expression, self-awareness, and processing of life experiences. This workshop will explore practical techniques for integrating bibliotherapy into counseling and play therapy, helping clients connect with stories that foster growth, empathy, and resilience.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this training, participants will be able to:
Define bibliotherapy as a therapeutic intervention that aligns with a Cognitive-Behavioral Play Therapy (CBPT) framework
Assess the cultural and developmental relevance of a book before using it in therapeutic sessions.
Demonstrate how to integrate published children’s books into directive play therapy interventions.
Construct a co-created therapeutic story that reflects targeted CBPT treatment goals and integrates relevant coping or regulation strategies.

Refund Policy
Full Refund Minus 20% Service Fee: Cancellations received at least 14 calendar days before the course start date are eligible for a refund of fees less a 20% service charge.
50% Refund: Cancellations received between 13 and 5 calendar days before the course start date will be refunded 50% of the course fee.
No Refund: Cancellations received within 4 calendar days or less of the course start date will be non-refundable.
Substitutions
Name changes or participant substitutions are accepted at any time prior to the course start date at no additional charge.
Course Cancellation by The Community Reach, LLC
The Community Reach, LLC reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment.
Participants will be notified of cancellations no later than 7 business days prior to the scheduled course start date.
In the event of a cancellation, any prepaid registration fees will be fully refunded.
