Workshop Overview

This is a psychoeducational training that explores the essential connection between sleep and mental well-being. This course introduces participants to the science of sleep, the psychological and physiological impacts of sleep disruption, and practical strategies to improve sleep quality through behavioral and environmental changes. This training offers evidence-based tools to help clients develop healthier sleep routines, reduce anxiety around bedtime, and manage common sleep disruptors such as screen use, stress, and irregular schedules.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to: 

  1. Define self-care and explain its relevance to counseling practice.

  2. Identify signs of burnout, compassion fatigue, and vicarious trauma.

  3. Assess personal wellness and stress management practices.

  4. Analyze the eight dimensions of wellness

  5. Develop a personalized self-care plan using practical strategies.
