Workshop Overview

This interactive training equips developing clinicians with the knowledge and clinical judgment needed to accurately identify and diagnose Adjustment Disorders. Participants will learn how to differentiate Adjustment Disorders from anxiety, depressive disorders, PTSD, and normative stress responses. Through structured case analysis and guided application, clinicians will strengthen their diagnostic reasoning and improve treatment planning.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this training, participants will be able to: 

  1. Define Adjustment Disorders using DSM-5-TR criteria

  2. Differentiate Adjustment Disorders from other common diagnoses

  3. Identify key diagnostic indicators (timing, severity, functional impact)

  4. Apply diagnostic reasoning through case-based learning

  5. Develop appropriate treatment approaches aligned with diagnosis
